b. Minutes for July 26, 2014:
– Membership Application: Xiao Chen Wang (王嘯辰) from Mandarin
Congregation is applying for membership. If you have any comment,
please send it to Rev. Luke Xie before August 17th, 2014.
– Praise God that MCCC’s Certificate for Continuance under the new
Canada Not-for-profit Corporation Act has been received. The ECB
would like to thank the MCCC CNCA committee for its work in
making the process successful.
– The list of candidates for the 2015-16 Deacons Election has been
confirmed by the ECB. Congregational pastors will be contacting
each candidate to ask their intention to stand for election.
– A Photo Archive Committee has been formed to develop a process
for collecting photos taken at church events.
– 2015 Budget – Draft of 2015 congregational budgets need to be
submitted to the ECB Treasurer by Sunday, September 7th, 2014.
– The allocation of 7% return of MCCC mission offering by ACEM in
the amount of $6,951 will be as follows:
– Church expansion project in Chimalhuacan, Mexico – $1,485
– Maggie Han for CYIA training – $240
– NTM Indonesia school project – $1,000
– Additional subsidy to Pastor Timothy Chan – $1,201
– Rev. Colin McCartney – $1,000
– Rev. Luke and Mary Goh – $1,000
– Pastor Gilman Ho – $500
– Sponsorship of Canadian Network of Ministries to Muslims
national conference at RHCCC (November 6-8, 2014) – $525
– The 2015 Short Term Mission Budget in the amount of $27,250 has
been approved by ECB.
