1/ 2016 Canada Day Outreach – MCCC will be having a Celebrate Canada Outreach
event on Canada Day (Friday July 1, 2016). Brothers and sisters are encouraged to
stay in town and volunteer for the event. Volunteer information will be provided closer
to the date of the event.
2/ 2016 Germany Short Term Mission Trip – Rev. Luke Xie and Mrs. Rebecca Lee will be
leading a short term mission trip to Germany from May 12-25. Other members of the
mission team are Deacon Sheila Xu, Lucia Fan, Katherine Chao and Bernard Lee.
3/ There will be a Joint Good Friday Service and Prayer Meeting for the whole church
on Friday, March 25 at 2:00 pm in the GSCC sanctuary. The Joint Baptism will take
place following the Good Friday Service.
4/ Sorting Garbage – Brothers and sisters are reminded to sort their garbage, food waste
and recyclables in the correct bins. Please check the posters above the bins to place
the waste into the right bin. Currently, there is no garbage collection fee charged to
MCCC as a non-profit corporation, but will lose this status if we are found out that our
garbage is not sorted properly during inspections. Parents should remind children
about sorting garbage before putting in the garbage bins. Fellowship leaders should
also remind fellowship members to correctly sort garbage.
5/ Reimbursements for Police Check – Payout forms related to Police Checks should be
submitted to Grace Cheng first to authenticate whether it is indeed required by MCCC.
Then submitted to Rev. Vincent Lee as the first approver.
6/ Ministry & Leadership Training Seminar – The date has been changed from May 28 to
June 25 (Saturday). Rev. Warren Lai will be the speaker.
7/ ACEM Mission Fund Refund to MCCC – The ECB has approved to use $2,000 of the
“5% ACEM Mission Fund Refund” to MCCC to support local missionary. The ECB has
also approved US$500 to cover the purchase of gift cards that can be used to support
brothers and sisters registering to go to the next Urbana Missions Conference in 2018.
8/ English Pastoral Hiring Committee – Deacon Chris Cheng will replace Deacon Sam
Watt as the Cantonese congregation representative on the committee.
