– Mission committee would like encourage brothers & sisters to
remember our adopted missionary in prayer. This week we will be
praying for pastor Peter Yoon and Mrs. Yoon of New Tribe
Mission.
a. We have arrived in Papua. Kids are picking up rotten mangos
that have fallen from 5 mango trees in our yard. Elaine is clearing
the kitchen cabinets and closets. While Peter is organizing local
handyman to do some painting, tiling and roofing jobs before we
unpack all our stuff.
b. We’ve spent last few weeks getting some work done on our
house (painting, enlarging the driveway,rebuilding street gutter,
installing hot water, etc.), unpacking and organizing. Still some
more work to be done, but starting next week, we plan on diving
back into full-time language study.
b.Please pray that we would be able to find language helpers in this
new country.
– Mission board has approved (with ECB’s endorsement) this Dec.
short term mission trip to Japan, lead by pastor Henry.
Participants would need to be at least 18 years of age, and arrive
in Japan by Dec. 11th, staying until 21st. Street evangelism will
take place in a village outside of Tokyo. Approx. cost will be
$3,000. If you have heart for Japanese people and God’s mission
in Japan, please contact pastor Henry asap as space is limited.
