MCCC will be sponsoring an Afghan refugee family selected
by Pastor Obed from the ACEM Afghan Church plant. The family
is expected to arrive in Canada in December-January. Volunteers
will be needed to help the family with needs such as

transportation, finding housing, etc. (more details will be available
later). If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please
contact Rev. Lee.

Here are the responsibilities of the volunteers (working
together with a team from Afghan church under NYCCC):
a. Welcoming the family when they arrive at the airport.
b. Looking for a rental place for them to stay.
c. Visiting the family time to time
d. Providing transportation when needed
e. Finding school for kids and LINC classes for adults
f. Finding second hand furniture and other home appliances
g. Helping to find clothes and shoes for the family
h. Inviting the family for lunch or dinner once a while
