ECB flash news (Nov 21, 2023):

A. Special Membership Meeting (November 12, 2022) – 160 members voted in the Special Membership Meeting, representing 64.78% of the church membership. The 2024 church budget was approved by the members in the meeting.

B. MCCC will be hosting the following Christmas event in December:

a. Christmas Joint Baptism – Saturday, December 16 at 10:00am in the GSCC Sanctuary
b. Cantonese Christmas Evangelistic Service – Sunday, December 24 at 9:15 am
c. Mandarin Christmas Evangelistic Service – Sunday, December 24 at 11:15 am
d. English Christmas Eve Candlelight Service – Sunday, December 24 at 4:00pm
e. Mandarin Christmas outreach – Monday, December 25 at 4:00-6:00pm
f. Mandarin Christmas Caroling at a Senior’s home – Dec 22 at 1:00-2:00 pm
g. Mandarin Christmas Caroling outside of church – Dec 23 afternoon
h. Mandarin End of Year Prayer Meeting will be held on Sunday, December 31 at 7:30 pm
i. Cantonese End of Year Prayer Meeting will be held on Sunday, December 31 at 8:30 pm in Zoom

C. GM News:

a. Light Replacement Project
In order to continuously maintain our church as a clean, bright and safe worship space, the ECB has approved the LED Lighting Replacement Project. We will replace all fluorescent light fixtures which are currently under 347V with LED panels. We may start the installation in early or middle of December and the installation will last 15-20 days. The installer will avoid interfering with the church worship schedule. After completion of this project, our church will be able to provide a bright and safe place for our brothers and sisters. We will also reduce the church’s energy consumption for illumination and make our contribution towards environmental conservation.

b. A gentle reminder to take extra caution while using the kitchen stove and ensure it is turned OFF after using. Please ask church secretary Sam Cheung for instructions on how to operate it properly and safely.

ECB will meet on Tuesday, December 5 at 7:00 pm in Zoom.  All coworkers please attend.
