ECB News Flash (May 28, 2024)

A. In the 2024 Annual
General Meeting on May 26, 2024, 166 out of 255 (65.09%) church members voted
and all motions were passed.

B. Praise God for providing
us with three wonderful summer interns this year. They are Sherri Lam who will
work from June 17 to August 16, Matthew Xia who will work from June 24 to
August 16, and Richard Jiang who will work from July 1 to August 16. The funding
for two interns is provided by Canada Summer Jobs, a Government of Canada
program. We pray that our summer students will be able to effectively serve the
children of our community through their work at MCCC.

C. Canada Day Community
Outreach – The annual Canada Day Community Outreach event will be returning to
MCCC on July 1st between 11am and 2pm. There will be giveaway snacks, stage
performances, jumping castle, booth games organized by all congregations, and
prayers for Canada. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to invite your neighbors
and friends to attend.

D. The LED lighting replacement project is completed.

ECB will meet on Tuesday, June 18 at 7:00 pm in Zoom.  All coworkers please attend.
