ECB News Flash (April 21) :

A. MCCC Annual General Meeting (AGM) – May 24, 2026, at 1:00pm at the sanctuary.

C. Members can vote electronically online between May 10 and May 23. An email with voting instructions and link will be sent to all members who have provided their emails for the purpose of electronic voting.

D. Mail-in voting sessions will be held at church on May 10 and May 17 from 8:45-9:15am (before Cantonese worship) and 10:30-11:15am, and 12:30-1:00pm (from end of Cantonese worship to beginning of Mandarin/English worship, and after Mandarin/ English worship). Mail-in voting sessions on May 24 will only be available from 8:45-9:15am and 10:30-11:15am.

E. The 2025 Financial Statement and 2025 Annual Report have been posted to the bulletin board in the church hallway for members to review.

F. The church theme for 2027 is “Transformed by the Gospel, Impacting the Generations” 「福音轉化生命, 主道傳承世代」May we be renewed by the Gospel and faithfully pass on God’s truth, living as a testimony that impacts generations to come.

G. ECB has formed a pastoral search committee for Mandarin lead pastor. The convenor is Deacon Torrey. Please pray for the search for the right candidate.

H. Rev. Vincent Lee will be on a field visit to South Asia from September 16 to September 29 to visit Jerrold and Abbie Wen. This visit aims to provide care and support to our mission workers as their sending church, and to explore potential opportunities for our members to be involved in ministry within their mission field.

I. The Government of Canada has approved funding for three summer student positions through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Two positions will support the Children’s Ministry under the supervision of Pastor Tim, and one position will focus on media and graphic design under the supervision of Pastor Josiah.

J. Following a productive discussion, MCCC has reached an agreement with GSCC permitting use of the parking spaces marked with yellow and white lines on the north side of the lot continuously on each Sunday. The south side parking spaces with white lines are reserved exclusively for GSCC’s congregation. When all MCCC-designated parking spots are full, please utilize roadside parking along Wintermute Blvd in accordance with posted traffic signs. Additionally, please note that the area around the MCCC parking spaces is one-way. It is important to observe the indicated driving direction to ensure safety and prevent accidents.
